How Do I Prepare for My Bone Density Test?
Our bone density tests are easy, fast and painless. Patients should simply wear loose, comfortable clothing without zippers, belts or buttons. You will be asked to remove keys, change and other metal objects from pockets.
During the test, patients lie comfortably on a padded platform while a mechanical arm passes over their body. The test takes around 10 minutes.
How Do I Understand My Bone Density Test Results?
Your provider will review a copy of your test results and notify you by telephone or letter of the results. If the results indicate a need for treatment, you will be contacted by the office to schedule an appointment.
